Overview

Unveil the ultimate contrast of West Sumatra with this extraordinary 6-Day 5-Night Expedition. This curated journey splits your time between two worlds: the untamed, prehistoric jungles of Siberut Island and the pristine, turquoise paradise of Sipora Island.

Your adventure begins deep within the primary rainforest of Siberut, where you will live as an honored guest inside a traditional communal stilt house (Uma) with the indigenous Mentawai people. Under the guidance of tribal elders, you will immerse yourself in an ancient way of life—learning the spiritual secrets of tribal tattoos, crafting traditional bark loincloths, and foraging in pristine rivers.

On the third day, transition from the dense jungle canopy to the breathtaking coastline of Sipora Island. Boarding a private local boat, you will spend your days exploring the crystal-clear waters, white sand banks, and vibrant coral reefs surrounding Awera and Aloita islands. Blending raw anthropological exploration with high-end marine eco-tourism, this itinerary is the definitive Mentawai experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

CRITICAL BOOKING INFORMATION
  • Intimate Group Capacities: To preserve the cultural dignity of the indigenous tribe and ensure an immersive experience, group sizes are strictly limited to 2 to 5 participants.

  • Private & Family Trips: If you book as a private family or couple, your tour remains fully private—we will never merge your jungle exploration with outside travelers.

  • Solo Traveler Matching: Solo travelers will be actively matched with existing groups. If no group is available on your preferred dates, a solo surcharge will apply.

  • Crucial Travel Flexibility: Island travel in Indonesia is inherently tied to weather and ocean conditions. Ferry schedules can change without notice; an open-minded, flexible attitude is mandatory.

  • Booking Finalization: Full payment must be completed at least one day prior to departure to secure government permits, manifests, and tribal community coordination.
